April 2026 release: payments, invoice batching, and project files
This release makes money flow much easier to manage. Payments now keeps delivered projects visible, invoices stay attached to projects instead of replacing them, and project file uploads are available as a beta feature.
Payments now keeps the full project story visible
Delivered projects still appear directly in Payments, even when they are attached to an invoice. That means the invoice is now a relationship around the projects rather than a separate flow that hides them.
We also added a paid history section so you can review everything already completed this month and safely move a project back if something was marked as paid by mistake.
- Active payments stay grouped by Pay now and End of month.
- Invoice-linked projects show their invoice number directly on the project row.
- Paid history is visible without leaving the Payments page.
Invoices are now simpler and closer to the real workflow
Creating an invoice now means the invoice is already in the awaiting-payment state. We removed the extra operational friction of “create first, mark sent later” from the main flow.
If you need to pay only one project from an invoice batch, the system now lets you choose whether to mark all projects as paid or cancel the invoice and pay only that one project.
- Invoice created = ready to send / awaiting payment.
- Projects remain projects and can still be seen from Payments, Clients, and Projects.
- Paid invoices and cancelled invoices stay available in invoice history.
Project file uploads are now available in beta
Project pages now have a dedicated uploads area for dragging files in, browsing, downloading, deleting, and creating client share links. This is still a beta feature so it can be enabled or disabled from admin feature tags.
The upload flow is prepared for Cloudflare R2/object storage, which gives us a cleaner and more scalable file pipeline for the next phase.
- Upload files directly from the project page.
- Generate share links from the files area.
- Feature availability can be controlled from admin.
